Hiking (contorl hanging) 2:00:00 [2]***
7c shoes: brooks- winter/trail model
Had to go help hang controls for the Juniors Green Lane meet. It was ok for the first set where i only had one and then had to get the controls ready for the next set. The we drove over to another part of the park and it had started spitting. we droped hunter off along the road and then continued to the parking lot. when we got there is just poured HARD!!!! we felt so bad for hunter! then when it lessened a little bit i went out and put the next 3 of mine out. But half way the heavens just opened! finally got all the controls out and guess what just as we start changing into dry clothes it stops raining and the sun comes out. Oh well

I'm just glad the meet went well!

running warm up/down 30:00 [1] 1.0 mi (30:00 / mi)

warm up for the city championships! jogged and then some stretching.
running race (XC race) 23:11 [5] 5 km (4:38 / km) vdot: 41.9
shoes: brooks- winter/trail model
Well ran my last XC race for the season :( Ran in the JV city championship race. It felt really good! I felt really strong and consistent through out the whole race! the hills still felt a bit hard but i was able to push through the pain/tiredness of my legs after the hill much better this race than before. The forest section which is normally the slowest i thought i managed to pick up, would have liked to still have been a little faster there though. Than the last part of the course i started getting really tired and my arms started hurting yet i like couldn't really feel them it was weird. So the last part i should have pushed it more than i did but still i think i was pushing it more than i was in the past. So in the course there are two loops, one you one twice which has less of a hill and on you run once that has a big hill and is in the woods. Right after the start about 100m you run up the first hill and then it levels out for a bit before going down again. Right at the end of the level part was the last time i heard or saw anyone, so i ran most of the course on my own. I think if i was running with someone i would have broken my PR but oh well next time!

I was really out of it after the finish though! like couldn't walk straight and couldn't feel my body. it actually felt pretty good though! and i didn't really care as i had won the race so it was all worth it! also i got adopted by the CAPA XC team that was cool!

so over all a great race even though i didn't met my goal time of under 23 mins.
C • Congratulations! 13

running warm up/down 10:00 [2] 0.5 mi (19:58 / mi)

Ran around our 5th floor because it was raining out and coaches didn't want us getting sick and we weren't going to run very far anyway as we are racing tomorrow. And we were going to do a nice long stretch and so just did that on the 5th floor as well.
