Running race 45:00 [5] ** 7.0 mi (6:26 / mi) +70m 6:14 / mi
slept:6.5 weight:150lbs shoes: Nike Lunaracer 2

Got in late last night. Went to bed being a little bitch to myself. Woke up feeling decent(considering). Had half of a bagel, and a piece of bread, and a small bowl of kashi with raisins and soy milk, and a glass of grape juice. Started warming up 30 minutes before the race, (7 minutes, stretch, bathroom(fail), stretch, Lunars 2 on, stretch, fast run, start). Started off easy, lead was Chuck Terry, Weiss, and I. Dropped Weiss, then ran with Chuck until mile 2. Got dropped (probably due to the ski race the day before) and then got to fight the wind for the rest of the way. Ate alot of snacks and then did a couple of short cool downs.

Nordic Skiing 30:00 [3] ** 6.0 km (5:00 / km) +150m 4:27 / km

Classic. Skied at lake George elementary for a little bit after the race. Felt pretty shitty but whatever.

Indoor Climbing 45:00 [3]

After a shower went to Rocksport and climbed a wee bit. Felt the effects of racing two days in a row.

Nordic Skiing race 1:15:00 [5] 19.0 km (3:57 / km) +200m 3:45 / km

Skate. Warmed up with 3-4K then brushed out the skis. Got to the line right on time. Went off and used gunda(which felt a little slower than the normal V2 but I caught Huneck(30 seconds in front at start) by the Wall(3K?). Was behind by 3 seconds on Nick and B. Halligan at the top of the Wall. Very slow tempo up the hills on the first lap. At the start of the 2nd lap I went to pass a girl(and I didn't yell... MISTAKE!!!) and she went into me and put my left ski into the woods and I started to fall so I just tried to flip out of it and it kind of worked(lost about 10 seconds), got up and skied the next 2K slowly(lost another 15-20 seconds). By the time I got to the water towers Huneck had caught back up. Going down Snake trail I caught a second wind and started going fast again. Had a much faster tempo going up the Wall and coach told me I was 5 seconds up on Nick at the top of the Wall but I needed to keep going really fast. I went very fast over the rest of the course. As it turns out Nick beat me by 5 seconds and I truly don't think there is anyway that Nick picked up 10 seconds on me in the last bit from the Wall so I'm betting that Coach screwed up the splits. Shit Happens. Cooled down with about 6K(?)

Nordic Skiing 1:00:00 [3] 14.0 km (4:17 / km) +150m 4:04 / km

Skate. Two laps with Nick and Mulshine with me leading most of the time. Realized there was a major flaw in my Gunda skate and fixed it and now love gunda a lot more. Did another loop with nick w/ sully's gully then back. Threw in about 6 Pick-ups throughout the day.

Skate. No poles for 2-3K. 4 laps around Varsity loop(4K-ish), with nick and mulshine for the first two laps, then only with nick for the third, last one by myself. Did an extra K in the lacrosse field with nick during 2nd lap. Probably did 10 long(1 minute) pick-ups for the hell of it.
6 PM

Indoor Climbing 1:30:00 [3]

Went to nick's before and had mashed potatoes, meat, garlic tuna, peaches, and grape juice. Took Nick to Rocksport and taught him some bouldering moves and coached him a little and climbed some. Hands hurt after a bit from big Gunks day yesterday.

Bouldering 3:00:00 [4] *****

Spend the night at Greg's after Senior Ball. Got absolutely no sleep. Izzy and I left Greg's house at 7:30, met up with Tyler, then JP, and drove to the Carriage Road. Stairmaster. Did Andrew's Problem(V4) to warm up. Tried Buddha(V8)(still a shit problem) and Andrew's Roof(V9) and got my butt kicked on both. We tried to dry off Boxcar Arete(V8) but it was seeping like crazy but I cruised the first half nonetheless and then the wetness got the better of me. Went down to Sleepy Hollow and tried Art of Nothing(V8) and after a while of combating my gaping pussy I finally did it(L. Foot on the start, right foot on a small tick, for the dyno). Walked all the way back to Ricans and White Boys(V7), where we tried it for about 25 minutes and realized how tired out our bodies were. We made one last stop at New Pair of Glasses where I tried Karajo(V11) and I stuck the first move a few times but the second move is definately harder. Walked down to the overlook and Tyler picked us up. 20-30 degrees all day. Good Day.
