8x5min intervals on the grass. Good workout. Getting pretty tired towards the end. At home, I noticed that my bird feeder had fallen over; probably due to the high winds last night. I was going to go out, fill it, and put it back up, but there was a doe and her fawn in the backyard. I put it off until later.

Note
Planned to scout the Waldo map, but we didn't have a forest pass with us. Drove out to Willamette Pass ski resort to get one, but they said that noone up there had them. Got fed up and went home. Will probably go back up next Monday.

The hiking was about 4 hours. Scouting the terrain around Sparks Lake for a map that would have stretched all the way from Mt. Bachelor parking lot. Although the terrain was pretty cool, the forest was just too thick. Still looking at mapping the resort area and the ski trails, but haven't scouted it yet.

Didn't sleep at all the last night, because the room was too hot. Did okay. Small mistake on one control. My biggest issue was the altitude. Starting at control #3, I was thinking holy cow I need some oxygen!

Walked around with Paula checking out the map. Got rained on towards the end. At least we missed the hail which came down earlier when we were driving to the event.
