Rocky Mountain 1000 Day
Day 3
Since yesterday was pretty good, today, holding true to form, was lousy. Messed up #4 for a minute or two. Then traveled 90 degrees from the direction that I intended to go out of #4. Ran off the map. Relocated on a fence and followed it to the control circle. Still had problems finding the actually control. Lost about 9 minutes.

Rocky Mountain 1000 Day
Day 2
The first time I have ever won the course! I lost some time on control #7. Thought the reentrant was on the near side of the hill. Basically ran the whole course like the sprint yesterday.

Rocky Mountain 1000 Day
Superbum Sprint
Attacked the course like an animal. Was a little slow on 8 in the swamp. Made a mistake on control #9 at the rocks west of the control.

Rocky Mountain 1000 Day
Day 1
Made a mistake on control #3 like a lot of other people. I drifted to the right from a pretty good attackpoint. Lost about 4 minutes on #6. Saw a small cliff just before the big boulder, so thought I had made a mistake. Wandered around until some other orienteers came and hit the control.

Rocky Mountain 1000 Day
Prologue
Made a mistake on the first control, so Erin Olafsen who started 30s behind passed me already. Hit halfway between 2 and 3. Was a little slow through the rest of the rocks.

Rocky Mountain 1000 Day
Chase
Ran out of energy towards the end with all the climb, thin air, and headwind. Was passed by Rick Oliver and Peter Gagarin on the last few controls.

Rocky Mountain 1000 Day
Stampede
Was fiddling with my control card when I saw Mikell's hat fly up in the air, "When it hits the ground you start!" I quickly shoved my control card in my pocket and took off after the blue runners. I forgot to start my watch in all the brouhaha. I hung with the leaders for a total of one control. I guess I passed a bunch of them at control #3 because they made a mistake. Came in just behind Jan Ingebritzen.

Rocky Mountain 1000 Day
Did the training day course. Was running well on the first half of the course. My mind started to wander so I screwed up some of the controls towards the end starting with #11. On this one I was off, so I decided I would do some relocation practice rather than just bailing out to the trail. I figured it out after long while. I then did a 180 on 14, and wandered a bit on 15.
