Ran a test loop at Bald Hill. This is my first time doing this loop for a time, so we'll see how my future girly man self does (I'm trash talking my future self). Annie couldn't go because she would have over heated. Ran from the kiosk off of Reservoir Rd to the kiosk off of Harrison. Turned left, took the trail to the road. Turned left on the road. Took a split where the trail comes in that takes you straight back to Bald Hill. 13:17. Continued on the road up the hill to the bridge and doubled back. Turned right at the trail to Bald Hill. At Bald Hill turned left at the boulder to the barn. At the junction at the road that climbs to the top of Bald Hill, took a split. 29:04. Ran up the muddy slippery road to the bench at the top of the hill and took a split. 38:10 (9:06 to climb the hill). Ran back down the hill and took another split. 43:35 (5:25 to run down). I noticed that I was day dreaming a little when I went down the hill. Ran back to the kiosk at my truck.
I had the heart rate monitor on. I averaged about 163bpm which is lower than what I consider to be a 4 effort, but it sure felt like one so that is how it is recorded. I'll also note that I didn't eat much yesterday.
