| Ran with Paula and Annie at Bald Hill. The tree that had fallen at Mulkey Creek was already cleared away. In the swampy area, there was a big chunk of tree on the trail, but other than that there wasn't much damage from the storm. |

| Commute to work via downtown. Big storm last night knocked out power all over the northwest First the power went out at home while we were getting ready for my office Christmas party. On the way to the country club, the lights went out around the office and even the radio station that we were listening to. We wondered if the party was going to happen at all, but fortunately, the lights were on when we got there. The wind drove the rain sideways when we ran for the building from the car. Hors'doevres happened with lights, but when dinner was served the power disappeared. We had some flashlights so we went through the buffet line scooping mystery food onto our plates. There were small candles on the tables, so it made for a romantic mood. I couldn't see exactly what I was eating, so I ate more kidney beans than I normally would. They were hiding in the pasta salad.
At home, we still had no power and no water either because the pump requires electricity. It was late, so we just went to bed. In the morning, still no power.
On the bike, I counted 5 power trucks cruising around checking the power lines with spot lights. I encountered 5 or 6 fallen trees on the bike path. One was a 3-foot in diameter big boy that fell between Shonnards and the old Montessori school. I had to get on the highway to get around it. The Mary's River was full and boiling. I thought sure that it would be on the bike path, but it didn't quite make it. Lots of crap from the trees on the path, so roller skiing is going to be an adventure until it gets cleaned up. |

| Ran with Annie at Bald Hill. It was pouring again, so the trail was flooded in places. Mulkey Creek was raging, which caused a tree to fall across the trail. |

| Commute to work via downtown. It rained very hard last night, so the marshes and rivers are very high. One section of the bike path was under water. |
