Warmup run around the XC course at Philomath HS with Paula and Annie. A little soggy today.

20 minute comfortably hard tempo run around the XC course.

4x1min lactic acid intervals. Run very very hard for 1 minute, enough to make the legs heavy. 5 minutes of jogging around to train the body to use the lactic acid (recorded separately). Did the second to last one of them on the track to see how fast I was going. An embarrassingly slow 300m in 1 minute.

Jogged around Bald Hill for 15 minutes for a warmup, and back down the hill to the truck after my intervals for a 10 minute cooldown.

16 hill repeats. The first 11 were just running for about 40s hard with a walk back down the hill. The last 5 were bounding for about 40s. Listened to a lecture on sexual evolution in animals from the Berkeley animal behavior podcast from a couple of years ago. Very good class.

Ski-O at Burton Creek. Made a bad navigation error going cross-country. Ended up at #47 and had to backtrack.
