Note
Felt lazy today as it was pouring outside. Up in Portland, Paula and I saw and heard a flock of sandhill cranes flying overhead! They looked like geese, except that you could see their long legs sticking out behind them. At least they sounded exactly like what I had seen as a kid in Idaho Falls, so I'm sticking with this story until I hear another crane or heron make the same sort of sound.

Commute to work via downtown. I should add that it snowed this morning on the way in, and on the way home I the biggest flock of migratory geese that I have ever seen. It must have stretched for a mile!

Thursday Feb 22

Running warm up/down 24:00 [1]

10 minute warmup run from the truck to the barn at Bald Hill. 14 minute cooldown run after the intervals down off of Bald Hill back to my truck.

3 runs from the gate to the bench at the top of Bald Hill. The times were roughly 7:45, 8:05, and 8:15. The trail was very muddy and squishy.

5x30s bounding at Bald Hill. Each time I came down from the top when I hit the firm area at about the middle, I would turn around and do a 30s bound. Then after all 3 runs to the top were done I did the final 3 bounds.

Ran with Annie at Bald Hill.

Commute to work via downtown. The sun came back today.

Tuesday Feb 20

Running warm up/down 20:00 [1]

Warmup run with Annie around a very soggy boggy Philomath XC course.
Running intervals 56:00 [3]

8x5min intervals with 2 minutes rest between each one. Good workout. The ground was very soft which made it tougher going, almost like running in sand.
