Wednesday Oct 17

Note
(sick)
Not feeling very good today, so I skipped an attempted run to test the stupid knee. I would have ridden my bike, if the weather was nice, but it was raining.

Tuesday Oct 16

Bicycle 40:00 [1]
Commute to work in a heavy rain shower. Tried to go running this morning, but I couldn't go for longer than 6 minutes because of my knee.

Monday Oct 15

Running warm up/down 25:00 [1]
shoes: New Balance1122 sz 10 w D
Ran with Paula and Annie at Philomath HS.
Running 16:00 [4]
4x4 min intervals. Very easy to keep the heart rate above 170 today. Knee started hurting towards the end of the 4th one. I don't know what the deal is. Resting my legs for a couple of weeks should prevent injury, not cause them.
Running 12:00 [1]
shoes: New Balance1122 sz 10 w D
4x3 min rest between intervals.
Bicycle 40:00 [1]
Commute.

Got back from a trip to Denmark, London, and Morocco.

Highlights:
Rode bicycles with the commuters in Copenhagen. Every time I looked at one of the riders passing by it would be a cute girl. Rather liked that.

Saw a very nice sculpture museum in Copenhagen.

Ate official *cod* fish and chips at Geales in London. Reputed to be one of the best places in town to eat fish and chips. I wont dispute that. They were great!

Followed that up with Spamalot. We got the best seats we have ever had at a play. 4th row center. Apparently someone canceled at the last minute, so they were available when we walked up.

Rode camels in the desert in Morocco. These camels are used in the movies, so we have to look for Hidalgo (mine) and Sarah (Paula's) on DVD.

Exploring the medinas of Fes and Marrakech. Easy to get lost (in fact we did). Compass is suggested.

Roman ruins at Volubilis. Most extensive ruins I have ever seen. Very cool.
