| Test run on the new Icebugs. Felt pretty good. Two main things came out of the run. They are not ideal for hard, frozen ground. And, it now gets dark around 5. If you plan to be in the woods after that, bring a headlamp. | ||

| Annual trip to the Lweis and Clark trail in near St. Louis. It is such a cool trail Ran the first 3 miles with Molly and then split. She did the 5 mile loop and I continued on the long. A perfect day for a run. Tomorrow the drive back to Mpls. One week until Possum Trot. Yeeha! Is it time to start talking trash? | ||

Warm-up 7 minutes Up pace 7 minutes out Turn around. Up pace further 7 minutes (or back to start, whichever comes first) Warm-down to house. Kind of a fun workout that makes use of not a lot of time. | ||

| Needed a long workout and hills in hopes of having some shot at doing okay the the Possum Trot. I went to the hilly section of Battle Creek for a long slow run. About 20 minutes in I had one of those, "I feel awful, I should quit, I am sure I am getting sick or something else is wrong" moments. Walked up the next hill, made a mental deal to make it to one hour and then go home. At 1 hour I felt great and finished the workout. Legs felt good after that little bout. | ||

| Yeeha! 2 days in a row. easy ski along the midtown greenway. Went over the new bridge and it was very cool.
I'm going to try to make it 3 days in a row tomorrow. I'm thinking about a nice, easy (for real) trail run/terrain run somewhere 1.5-2 hours. Maybe at Hyland. Anybody interested give me a call. | ||

| Took Jasper to see the new bridge over Hiawatha on the Greenway. Very cool. He got cold on the way back, so we sang about 36 verses of the "Hot Cocoa Song." The lines can be whatever you want, but they all end the same, "because we like hot cocoa."
