| Loaded up the tagaalong and Molly took the Chariot, then we headed to the fair. Operation Mitigate Caaloric Intake was underway. Ride there was a little stressful because of rush hour and fair traffic.
Performance at the fair was not great: I only ate half an order of cheese curds, 1.2 ears of corn and 1/2 a Summit. Not nearly as much as I had hoped for.
Bike home was very nice. At dusk, not a lot of traffic and the kids went right to bed when we got there. |

| C • Como Sprints 5 |
Monday Aug 27 |
 | Note | |
| |
| Made it through one of the more stressful weeks in recent history. Accomplished every thing that needed to be done and still got to get outside a number of times. Not bad. Hope to get more consistent with workouts, but I am not sure that is in the cards just yet. Rowing season starts in 2 weeks.
Other than the sprint at Como tomorrow, the highlight will be our annual graze at the State Fair. First stop Sweet Corn, then probably to the dairy barn, then across the street to the cheese curds. Yeeha!! |
 | Trail Running 43:00 [3]4.5 mi (9:32 / mi) +100m 5:33 / km | |

| Franklin/Lake loop on trails and down along river. One of those runs that felt tough the entire way. |

| Acting as support crew for team "Two Walkies and a Talkie" on the Breast Cancer 3-day. jasper again on his own bike with a very impressive effort. Toughest part of the day was getting Jasper back on his bike with a full chocolate shake for him in my water bottle cage. The middle crew member nearly mutineed. Other challeges--outdoor diaper change with a daughter who loves to grab handfuls of grass, and trying to answer the question, "Dad, what are the bras all over the van for?" Good question, son. |
