Thursday Jan 31

Note
I must get a run in tonight. Even if it means after the kids go to bed. I knew I wasn't going to have much time this week, but I can't afford to go five days without working out at this point in the season. Especiaally since I won't get much in this weekend.
C • Just think of your training... 2
Running 27:00 [3]3.7 mi (7:17 / mi)
shoes: Vasque Blur 2
Quick run after kids' bedtime and before i was meeting someone to pick up supplies for the Minneloppet. Tried to up intensity a little. At least I made it out.
C • glad to see you made it out 2

Wednesday Jan 30

Note
I had hoped to get a run in at least, but ran out of time. I got a haircut between school and parent/teacher conferences at school. I even had a chance to join a friend at the Y, but didn't have the clothes.

Tuesday Jan 29

Note
Didn't really mind not getting a workout in. Crazy cold. Standing at the gas pump was enough.

Monday Jan 28

Note
weight:178lbs (rest day)
Planned rest day after two hard workouts.

Sunday Jan 27

Skate Skiing 2:58:00 [2]52 km (3:25 / km)
Skied at Battle Creek with Dave. Six laps of the outer trail. Based on time estimates we think the loop is between 8 and 9 k, probably closer to 9. Snow was lightning fast early and we got done before it softened up. The last two laps seemed like work. There are some great long hills that are very comparable to Birkie hills.
Extremely happy with this weekend's work.
Classic Skiing 1:00:00 [1]4 km (15:00 / km)
Skied with Jasper's MYSL class at Como. Didn't see Darryn. I had Rena in the backpack, which is surprisingly difficult to ski with. Had to walk down a couple hills because it would be hard to justify to the doctor that my one year old got hurt because I "knew" I could make it down that little hill.

Followed the group on a treasure hunt. Very fun on a very nice day out. By the end I must say that I was ready to be out of ski boots. Had to ski to and from the car at the other end of the golf course because of winter carnival.
