| Pre-Birkie in Hayward. Very happy with result. Started fairly hard and able to stick with it. Skis were not as fast as th epeople I was with on downhills. I was able to stick with the group by climbing pretty well. The Birkie trail was in great shape.

| Took students snowshoeing at Fort Snelling State Park. It was a great hike. I learned a number of things from the naturalist and all of the students were pretty good sports. Ended with a fun snowball fight in the parking lot. |

| Quick ski at Battle Creek before Molly was to take off for Elm Creek. I did one outer loop and one trip around the lighted loop. The vast majority of the trail was in great shape. A couple small icy patches on uphills. |
