SAC Race - BON ECHO PARK

Well, well, well.... I could go on with a long discripition of the race course error (checkpoint significantly misplaced, hence the error in finding it), the proper way to handle it, and how I think we would have faired with a clean course, but screw that whinny stuff, leave that to another certain team... simply put it was a great day out with the boys and we raced hard for our own enjoyment, especially as we were paddling a piece of tupperware and had significant ground to make up.

Course was approx 40-50km: 40% paddling, 50% trekking, 10% biking. (Interestingly... we completed the SAC-Long Course two years ago in less time than it took to complete this puzzle of a course).

Tried to hold back from pushing too hard today, but was such a nice day for riding. Managed to hold back reasonably well. Good mix of single track and super technical rock gardens today.

Fireroads and single track with Superfly George and a 15lb pack. Kept it gentle with Saturday's race just around the corner now.

Took my first header since getting back on the bike again. Must mean I'm getting my agression back again... maybe that's a bad thing?
