Road running 24:10 [3] 3.06 mi (7:54 / mi) +18m 7:45 / mi
shoes: Asics GT-2170

Today was spring-like and pleasant as I try to get moving again. Yesterday's race felt so sluggish; creeping up hills and running through molasses on the flats. Some of this is just my perception and some is a lack of regular training during the spring. Hopefully this is the turning of a new leaf...

2nd run after the green course (forgot Garmin for it). Fun and quick. Found first tick of the season at the end of the run.

A mostly clean red race; just under 3 min lost time registered by AP is close to my guess. Did a better job of lemons to lemonade on a couple of moderate errors (e.g., ended up too far south of third to last pond control, trust in my compass led me perfectly back on track). Not particularly fast but pretty consistent in terms of speed. Some 10-sec pauses were taken to plan harder legs that started without good running; this cost time but kept me from stupidity and running into trees!

Not as nearly smooth as the previous run nor very fresh feeling legs. A fun course w/o overlapping the red. Thanks to flyingsquirrel for the extra effort designing standalone advanced courses (and a nice day of o).

ICO's Cataract Void. Nice red course by Jerry through hard terrain. Lots of underbrush and face-snapping brush on a cool, damp day. You knew you were alive by the end. Map required some divining to interpret but this was part of the challenge. Running speed was quite slow but nav was good (5-8 min lost time).
