A pretty decent outing to check out Martin State Forest with Aragorn. Cranked out a contours and KP veg map, plus the OSM roads/trails beginning the evening before. Vegetation was ok, not perfect but usually close enough and would be correct per local standards if it wasn't very late spring/summer. Some nice rock features and streams, more interesting than I had anticipated. Made some mistakes and had some parts where I let the green eat away at my enthusiasm. Lots of poison ivy.
10 ticks; strangely, Aragorn had none. Apparently, he still had permethrin in his clothes.
Left biodegradable tapes for the course (as we did at Frog Pond Ridge).

Dizziness, again. Seems to happen most frequently on trails with lots of head motion. Also tripped by a 3" stump; managed to jam my hand past a log to break the fall onto the rocky surface (win), but apparently lightly sprained my right index finger. Swelling is going down 3 days out. A bit grumpy at the end of it all.

I think this is it for new mapping here, about 2 km^2 done; time to wrestle with QGIS

dizzy at the same place on the trail but at a different time of day, different glasses, nutritional state, and level of fatigue. Let it fade, then ran back.
