Little Mill training map S of Inverness. Spent the evening trading the map between Brenda, Aidan, and myself. All TD4 controls until the end when Brenda and I each tried TD5. Brenda and I will race TD5 and Aidan TD3; he is ready we might not be.

Pulled off at least a dozen ticks after this trip to the woods.

Area was rocky and marsh with some really rough fields. It was fun and good to actually do something with a map after days in the car or on a plane.

First run in the UK. Went with Aidan who had worked out a loop with him mom a few hours earlier. Quite pleasant.

My last long run was tossed last weekend due to a badly timed cold and the crunch to get packed up. The past 36 hours has been fun but the driving has been far from relaxing. Off the plane and into a car at Heathrow..... As a warmup, we drove on the left in Australia for over 3 weeks in a manual transmission campervan only three years back. Here, we have a tiny manual Ford Focus and the distances are short BUT the roads are much narrower, busier, and convoluted plus there is a bewildering variety of signage so the challenge has been much steeper. We suspect that texting is much rarer here because nature's selection would be quite severe for the distracted.
