My coffee cup seemed to last all day today. As a result, and coupled with it being a wee bit cooler, I seemed to be snappier tonight. This led to joy, not a lot, but more than recent runs have. Stopped at the gym to do a set of weights, enjoyed the late evening sky, and then ran back home.

A pretty bruising run by the end. Fairly hot, quite humid and sunny at the start let me know that I needed to find a long run pace that would get me home. My estimation of this needed constant revision and, by 8 miles, I stopped even looking at my pace. I did keep going except for a sensible 30 s break for water at 8.2 miles and added a small hill and a tiny bit of distance. Not a fun experience but I might be better for it.
