Stretching 5:00 [1]

9 AM

Road running race 45:32 intensity: (20:00 @3) + (25:32 @4) 6.11 mi (7:27 / mi) +23m 7:22 / mi
shoes: Saucony Guide 8 - 2016

Great North Run 10K
Not a full on effort, trying to get an ok time but not ruin tomorrow. About a minute slower than the previous year, so I am not too happy about that but I did win my age class (The benefit of shifting to M50). This race always seems easier since the weather has frequently been newly springlike, promoting faster happier running. What makes it hard is that February and the first week in March seem to be my low training /healing month.

Cramped my leg while lecturing yesterday and it was still tight today?! Gentle run on a truly fabulous night to get it unseized. Seems to have worked.
