Meet 8 Race 9
Woodland Trails Purple 8.7k

This was good and not so good. Well set course and lots of opportunity for route choice. A few too many controls too close to giant trees in the forest that seemed to block the sight line for my approaches (If I could have predicted it, I would have changed). Started after there was about 1-1.5 inches of snow. It didn't cause problems with wearing glasses but it completely flattened out any visual contrast, obscured sheets of ice and "trails". This is a map that always piques my enthusiasm but the amount of dead ash trees and honeysuckle are just making the vegetation mapping and running into a mess. I need a trip here with good weather to improve my view (note last time, it dumped snow for the last half of the race to the point of filling my glasses ;/

Felt the strain of back-to-back long runs. Need to rest then keep working on this.
