Decent warmup, but then cooled down quite a bit before starting after I belatedly decided to copy down the descriptions (loose not supplied).

SYO Wombwell Woods

Good run, though all fairly straightforward (especially if you live about a mile from the area...) Disappointed not to quite dip under 5mpk - pesky autolap!

#4 Went east of the rough open, which I think was the correct choice, but neglected to keep in contact with the small paths and had to wade through some brambles and bounce off the fence to the east before getting back on line [30]
#7 Long 'route choice' leg, but really just a case of choosing one way around the OOB fields then keeping the pace up on a long track run. Went north to avoid stiles.
#11 I did take a bearing but it was crap and I was too high / left [10]
#12 Intended to use the path to cross the grot, but changed plan mid-leg and forged my way across at the edge of the open. Lucky that the green wasn't that thick [15]
#14 Need to work on bearings... south / right [10]
#16 Couldn't decide whether to avoid the green enclosures. Belatedly looped south of the first but judging by the second (straight through) this wasn't necessary [20]
#18 Left the previous control in the wrong direction but rectified quickly.
#19 Disorientated again as I left control (due to criss-crossing lines?), got on the right track eventually [10]

1st, 90s ahead of Pauls.
