HALO Pillar Wood Brown, as (with a grand total of 5 entries) they had run out of Black maps...

Undergrowth was fairly ferocious and often not mapped which made some route choices a bit of a lottery.

#3 Poor direction out to open; looking way south briefly [35]
#9 Path on edge of wood tiny; avoided green but probably quicker straight [30]
#12 This was on a knoll that was no more than 30cm high...
#17 Aimed for gap in green but couldn't find it and had to crawl [35]
#20 Arable field mapped as open together with expectation of seeing feature below 'edge' left me stumped [90]

gpx export broken again...

GRAMP Aberdeen Uni Sprint

Some interesting sections, rather slippery so not pushing overly, got trickier as it begun to get dark.

#9 West of initial buildings would have been shorter [15]
#11 Misread map so route sub-optimal - retracing steps better [30]

5th place behind some AUOC students...

GRAMP Glen Dye Blue Re-run

Some legs familiar due to running the Brown a fortnight ago, though took different routes where practical.

Quite a bit of time wasted on #5 (~3mins). If you take on the straight route as I did it is difficult to know where you cross the fence as the hillside is very vaguely mapped. Figured I must be beneath fight but gps trace (on georeferenced map) shows that i was 'in' it - hence looking too high and overshot.

This place is a tick paradise!
