BOK Trot New Beechenhurst

#1 Slight overshoot, looked in lower re-entrant but no control. Carried on briefly before returning and ascending slightly to flag which had initially been just out of sight [100]
#9 On wrong ditch to west briefly but realised quite quickly [20]
#10 Had been passed by faster runner; not enough care from path - looked in pit just below feature and got flustered, eventually worked it out [90]
#11 Sloopy, not following map, lead into control by fast guy again who must have messed up #10 worse than me [75]
#12 Concentration gone; poor exit from control then went in a bit early at end of leg [30]
#13 Stayed on ascending path too long then hesitant down hill too far north [40]
#18 Chose route to avoid crossing too many streams. Loose at end of leg and made parallel error briefly on lower stream junction but luckily spotted path beyond [60]

Annoying little errors creeping in more often than desired given so much of the navigation felt straightforward and it was the running side that felt tough in the heat. No sign of the mythical bingo drinks point!

NGOC Ross Urban

Very hot and somewhat of a slog. Didn't enjoy the nettle loop towards the end. Flagging by this point but some impetus to stay ahead of another competitor. Course could definitely have done with some more controls and shorter legs.

Probably got several route choices wrong (#1, #2, #3, #5, #8) but there wasn't that much in it. Took a couple of wrong turns on #13. Also went straight up the slope out of #17 simply because it was a bit more interesting.

Glorious evening today - loads of people out; mostly walkers.
Tried a bit harder than last week although keeping going up the steepest section of hill is tough enough! Took the downhill a bit faster too although trying not to destroy quads too much...
