Strathearn Day 6 Grandtully

Favourite day of the week :)
Sunny, runnable and mostly downhill. What's not to like!

#1 Started poorly; off line to south [30]
#3 Dragged to control on spur [20]
After that, pretty good other than the uphill to #13!

Strathearn Day 5 Craig a'Barns

Really looking forward to this day - previously enjoyed visits here immensely. Sadly, presumably due to restrictions, there was far less forest than hoped for and more slogging through the open :(

Fairly steady around first loop.
#10 Initially planned to broadly reverse route to #2 but came out further SE and missed path. Path route became fall back option. Dropped too low near end of leg [120]
#13 Following Andrew Lindsay rather than navigating - took long way up through crags [45]
#22 Rushing trying to get away from another runner. Came onto correct line of crags but then guessed I was low rather than fractionally high... [120]
#26 Dropped too low amongst crags [90]
#29 So tired chose path option but it was slower! [45]

Strathearn Day 4 Culteuchar & Dron

Nearest day but also the least interesting.

Lost a couple of minutes floundering in the rough section around #11 and #12 but otherwise all rather straightforward.

Strathearn Day 3 Dundurn

Excellent area / arena / weather. Great sport :)
Could have done better personally.

Bit rushed getting to start.
#1 Ended up a long way above flag - slow to descend [15]
#6 Passed by +2min man on the way.
#7 Caught -2min man at control.
#15 Tempted down to lower control... [30]
#17 Tried to go straight through green - forced a long way north. Slow in bog / brash. Ended up at #18 luckily, but still made a mess of finding the control from there. Should have chosen safer southern route [2mins 40s]
#18 Passed by Rhys and Phil Vokes.
#20 Passed by same two again.
#22 Tempted to earlier control again... [30]
#23 Mixed up with fence crossings [45]
#24 Passed by Rhys for third time!

Stathearn Day 2 Edinchip

Contrast to yesterday - running legs for first open loop. Enjoyed the forest around #10 / #20 but too little of it!

#6 Looking too low [20]
#11 Drifted north [60]
#14 Path a good choice.
#15 Bog!! [30]
#18 Path not so good a choice or just slow getting to it? [100]

29th today.
