Stoke Park to Mayford in a loop - set off too fast downhill with light tail wind at 3 min miles, died on the way. Stem can be dropped full 20mm to lowest setting as everything feels fine flexibility wise.

Swimming 18:00 [3] 0.6 km (30:00 / km)

Lido(wetsuit) - wanted to swim 800 plus wu. 100 wu, 2 x 200 (4.08) 100 wd. Around 6s slower per 100 than usual. Originally thought it was tiredness (cycling & sleep) but more likely I was hurrying stroke rate without a tiny pause before catch.

Westfield & back. Was overtaken by someone going 3 mph faster who got such a big jump on me I couldn't close the 20m gap despite trying.

Swimming 21:00 [3] 0.7 km (30:00 / km)

Lido - wu, 4 x 100 av 2.02, wd & then tried doing flip turns. To speed up, need to: raise stroke rate (whilst maintaining length/power), keep higher elbows & kick more consistently.

Weight 76.4kgs - 0.6kg higher. Some "might" be added muscle.
8 AM

Cycling 16:10 [3] 4.6 mi (3:31 / mi) +50m 3:24 / mi

Sainsbury's and back. Almost identical to school run but 30 min earlier and half term, a third of the usual traffic. Much faster than planned.
9 AM

Swimming 21:00 [3] 0.7 km (30:00 / km)

Lido - 50s mainly, some 100s. Back feeling a lot more flexible, possibly even normal!

Experiment today, that swimming plus 2 paracetamol will calm nerve down after ride

Monday May 29, 2017 #

25m Spectrum - too tired this morning to make the Lido. Some drills, 3 x 100 but not fast enough, then finally 1.56, the PB I wanted from the session.

Calf nerve flared up yesterday oddly only affecting the skin after a walk up St Martha's. Seemed OK today. Worth another go in a few days.
