Normandy TT course - Despite wu took 5mins for HR to reach 150, and average after that was around 153. Had infected tooth & swollen face for the last 5 days, plus hours of DIY, so pretty run down & tired, but to starting to improve gradually. So getting out in race position more important than over doing it. 50s down on PB pre-TT bike. Concluded raising bars by 10mm and giving more for breathing should pay off.

Did fast wu of 5 miles, but HR still took ages to reach 150 during main ride, simply run down and mildly detrained with holidays etc.

Note

Entered three events on fast courses recently. The last was after yet another rejection (too slow), and finally been accepted, on a little used/known 25 miler on an almost pan flat DC west of Cambridge. Hopefully the effort and cost of B&B for a 9.00 o'clock start will be worthwhile. Only problem is 5 days plus of DIY to do plus work, and only 10 days to prepare.
