Rehab 15:00 [2]

Shoulders, especially joints, need a rest from swimming.

Rehab 15:00 [2]

Hip has remained sore for 24 hrs since swim, but used a camping pillow at night which with hindsight was next to useless. Still worth the experiment.

Swimming 30:00 [3] 1.0 km (30:00 / km)

SSP(50) - Timetable change created crowded multi-speed lanes, which I normally wouldn't enjoy. Confidence must be growing, as attempted a double overtake, squeezing successfully b/w the swimmer coming the other way. First 100 in a pleasing 1.58.

Note

Real progress on hip! Got out of bed and the joint clicked loudly twice and feels different. The gap in the SI joint is now the same on both sides, rather than being a few mm further out on the left, and everything feels tighter. Not out of the woods as joint was/is lax and stretched. Maybe this will reduce the irritation and the bursa inflammation will disappear with time. Sleeping with a pillow between knees for the last week has helped, as otherwise the hip is being pulled outwards at the back when sleep.

Swimming 24:00 [3] 0.8 km (30:00 / km)

SSP(25) - Started a pyramid with an effortless 1.58 100 (close to PB), then slowed, and became unstructured session. Realised afterwards, legs were not kicking enough and were mistimed.
