Rehab 30:00 [2]

Body conditioning 20:00 [2]

Pilates, core, planks, hamstring bridges, clams etc.

Saturday May 25 #

Running 29:22 [4] 5.0 km (5:52 / km) +70m 5:29 / km

Stoke Park Parkrun - Recent PB by 70s!
Jogged the first 500m near the back and then did the next 2k with 35m climb in 14.10, for my fastest first lap. Had poor 4th k and kept position on last.
Shocked to say the least. 19 days of no running, 2/3rd of normal walking in that period, one easy 30mins and one hard 20min static bike session.
Takeway: Start slowly, and perhaps with regular strength & speedwork I can get back to some respectable 5k times in 2025 closer to 25mins.

Cycling 10:00 [3]

Static Bike

Cycling 10:00 [4]

11k in all, with around half later on at/above threshold. 180w- rather low and no idea if its accurate and what it might have been late last summer after twice weekly cycling.

Weights 20:00 [3]

Upper body, some areas still affected by session 5/6 days ago.

Rehab 30:00 [1]

Note

Saw physio: Given inversion & exversion band work on ankle and told to do lateral massage to break down scar tissue. Probably last session- one more would be beneficial.

Note

First day ankle didn't feel abnormal. Between talus & lower leg bones feels blocked/inflammed/scar tissue preventing knee moving knee freely forwards over toes.

Monday May 20 #

Note

Booked NHS surgery in a fortnight's time! Crash course in male Kegel (pelvic) exercises required.

Just 8 weeks from referral to have; MRI scan, biopsy, diagnosis consultation, bone scan, meet surgeon, meet radiologist, make decision and have surgery- world class NHS.
