Trek 28:00:00 [3] 82.2 km (20:26 / km)

Killarney - LaCloche Silhouette Trail (elapsed time reported).

I completed this loop counterclockwise with Bash and Bent over the weekend. Best go look at Bash's log, it's amazing and there's not much else to say, other than we were very fortunate to have had sunny weather with almost no bugs.

I think this was my first 80km in one go, and was very happy to just hike it. Still my feet got terribly blistery under the lukotape and I suspect it was the crazy insane humidity coupled with the slide slipping over all the rocks.

Bash thought we stopped only for 2 hours, but I think with all the photography, naps, snacks, text messaging, swims, head dunking, birthday partying, kahula shots, talking to hikers, and water filtration, it was way more than that. I only mention it because that's my kind of training...lots of enjoyment and way less suffering.

Many thanks to Bash for her flawless nav and agreement to fun hiking, and also to Bent for telling me amazing "Stay Awake Stories" to keep me less stunned in the wee hours of the morning.

Cycle 1:06:00 [3] 13.5 km (4:53 / km)

Thought I'd try something new and decided to join The Van Den Bosch Clan for the Kelso Mtn bike race series. On the practice loop I realized that my derailleur had lost its tune and the chain was skipping off the cassette into the frame. Velo fix was there to stage a quick fix but it didn't hold on the second loop. I still managed to finish and had fun riding 100% of snakes and ladders for the first time ever without putting my for down!
