Made Storm accompany me for an easy ride in Hilton Agreement forest. It wasn't supposed to rain more than a mm but there was more than that and the singletrack was slick.

I was lucky enough to spend some time on my back staring at the rainy night sky while Storm extracted me from my bike after slipping sideways on a log.

Running 2:58:20 [3] 25.2 km (7:05 / km)

McDowell Mountain Frenzy 25K trail race

Fun day at the races in the desert sun. Took it easy and gave myself 3 hours to finish the race, which resembled a mountain bike racing course for much of the distance. We were done before noon and then Dee and I widdled away the afternoon in the sun/beer tent as Bent, Bash and Storm came through on their longer races.

Day 3 Sedona Mtn bike - big loop south of Sedona near Cathedral Rock.

Today Storm and I picked a route south of Sedona near oak creek that would form a day long loop. We started on some easy trails, including llama and shot some Go pro footage for fun(coming soon to a storm events video). I absolutely loved a wide section that was sand/slickrock with gradual decline (Bell Rock) and bounced the full suspension like a bunny rabbit the whole way down. We crossed over the highway and hit Slim Shady and other trails that contoured cathedral rock. It wasn't as hard as yesterday. We then descended a double black by foot and did another loop by a river and around the forest before climbing back up and shooting back to the car along Easy Breezy. Most everything was a blue square but at home 2/3 would be a black diamond.

Legs felt tired most of the day but what can I expect I have been only riding 1-2 per week since July. Storm took it easy on me and we took oodles of breaks to soak on the sun, snack and take in the nice 10-15c weather. Only fell once today and was able to ride way more of the technical bits.
