Orienteering 1:45:00 [3] ***
bopping around eagle creek west map.

Thursday Nov 16

Woods running 35:00 [4]
3 laps around the pond at lunch.

start tree to swamp tree - 602,550, 601

See the pond loop here: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=545869

Nobody's going to hold an A-meet here anytime soon, but it's a decent mix of white, light green and dark green woods along with some puddle-scarred dirt trail and some paved rails-trails trail. It's such a small area and I've run around here enough that navigation is no longer any challenge whatsoever, but it's good for micro-route choice and general terrain running fitness. Plus I have a history of times built up between certain landmarks that I can use to rate efforts.

But the biggest plus is that, like Mount Clay Terrace, it is something I can hit on my lunch break, thus leaving my evenings free for family stuff.

Tuesday Nov 14

Hills 30:00 [5]
Mount Clay Terrace lunch workout.

7 criss cross patterns over the summit of MCT for a total of 14 climbs. Followed with warm down run back to car in parking lot and lunch at Q-dob.

A few looks from cops and security - probably just a matter of time before I get booted off Mount Clay Terrace. Someone in scruffy clothing huffing and puffing up and down the landscaping is not really in keeping with the upscale shopping experience they want to provide for the Carmel housewives.
