Running 18:00 [4]
shoes: Orange Sauconys

Did five 1K intervals in Avery Park. Was hitting between 3:20 and 3:30 for first 4 intervals (felt ok).
Last interval was in 3:10, it felt really tough (in a goodway). I was using certain muscles that haven't been worked in months. If I can do more of those, it will really help my speed.

Running 20:00 [2]

Warmup and cooldown

Running 12:00 [2]

Quick run to strech my legs. Would have gone further but the bike trail is creepy at night.

Saw a racoon!

Hiking 50:00 [3]

Did the orange course in Eugene. I did the first half at Alton Baker very cleanly. The second bit on Skinner Butte was tricker and I was starting to make small mistakes.
It was a great day for running around.

Note

Walked around Walnut Park, not really mapping. I took an overgrown trail through some thick woods, and discovered a hidden network of clearings.

I'm not sure, but I think a couger lives out there! Last week I saw an animal dash into the bushes near there. It could have been a dog, but there were no owners around. Today I found a deer carcass in the middle of a clearing. It was a young deer. The body had been eaten but severed (uneaten) arms and legs where lying around. I didn't hang around too long.
