Orienteering 45:00 [2]

Setting out/ picking up controls for the willamette park meet.
This was my closest thing to real trail running in a while.
My foot did well, but was definately tender. I should be good for finland, but I'll be passing on the big muddy.

The weather was great, I even got a little sunburn.

Orienteering (Mapping) 3:00 [1]

Finished the southern part, and plotted the trail system for the north half.
Redoing the vegatation was worth it, it looks much better now.

Biking 1:30:00 [2]

Road out to kings valley hwy, and tried for the Harris bridge.
Once again, I was thwarted by gravel roads, but otherwise the ride was great.
However, I've decided that I really dislike being passed by double-long log trucks. Scary.

Orienteering (Mapping) 3:00 [1]

Started by filling in vegation on south witham hill. I'll probably redo this, with a renewed focus on simplicity, since I don't really like the results.
Finished by deteriming the location of landmarks (mostly giant oak trees) in the north half, so I can fill in trails and vegation tomorrow.

Walking 1:00:00 [1]

Walked to and from work. A little soreness in the foot after the last few days of mapping, but not much pain.

Orienteering (Mapping) 1:00 [1]

Sketched out the trail network in the eastern third of Witham Hill.

Orienteering (Mapping) 3:00 [1]

Finished (almost) the Woodlands Meadow Park. It looks really good too! Total time field checking (both days) was just 4 hours, so I'm getting way more efficient.
To finish the map now, I've got to do the Witham Hill Open Space, which will be much more difficult.

Orienteering (Mapping) 1:30 [1]
shoes: Orange Sauconys

After yesterday, I was remotivated to map. I had left my Fitton Green board in the car, which Xan took. So I decided to work on woodland meadow. Did the portion south of the road. It looks nice, better than I thought it would.
