Rented an older StumpJumper that was a little juicy (shocks not dialed into my weight) and realized in a trail bike (vs. XC) a medium may be a little small as I was nearly thrown a few times over the bars.
Rode 3 Peaks Trail System just NW of Cedar City, Utah. ~6000ft elevation. Bailed on ATV trails from the singletrack in order to get to a family photoshoot, but ended up way off from the trailhead. Had to fieldride and bikewhack for 45 minutes to make it back to the car...first mistake...no map!
Challenging and fun, but not ridiculous...the dusty sand of SW, utah was often the most difficult part of the riding as it had little traction in sections of the trail.
