Hampsfell (Short Brown as W21 course)
Really fun area. The woods were trickier than the usual slope area with sideways valleys and crags in the way so some fun route choice legs, then limestone pavement and crags on the open top. No crazy direction issues like yesterday but one bigger miss on 14 after reading a hill as a depression (thought a pit was a tagline) and headed too far right. Had fun in the last few slightly downhill controls absolutely going for it to beat 44mins which Alice had set as goal time before the race lol. Ben set me 40mins as a goal but I think I would have had to have been really clean for that today.

Not a lot of orienteering coming up in next few weeks now, but then 3 weeks of the JK, Tio and British to look forward to.

Little walk up to Orrest point above Windermere afterwards - great views for not a lot of effort, would recommend!
