One of those days where I definitely would have done nothing when I got home so headed out to Ashton Court straight from work instead. Nice evening and grateful for not very much climb as quads still not loving the downhills.

Actually wore my double skin socks for this and I think it helped a bit to avoid worsening those blisters

Note

Deep blisters underneath heels. Sadly I didn’t get to test my double skin socks yesterday as I temporarily lost one (found it again last night, so next time)

Pen-y-Fan fell race
First time on this race, and I was actually a bit scared of the ~600m climb when the usual 3-400 on those ones around Abergavenny are tough enough lol, but it didn’t feel so bad actually. Up the climb in 6/5/4th up to Corn Du with perhaps a bit too much fell runners walk. I realised I might have a shot at the Women’s record (38:15, stood since 1992) so got a shift on from Corn Du to Pen-y-Fan. Legs a bit jelly on the steep down but did what I could and was just behind the guy who came 3rd as the down got more gentle. Perhaps a bit far left with my line. I think I finished just sub 39. Will have to come back to try again for the record! Cool race anyway :D 1st lady and 4th overall

Running 5:00 [3] 1.0 km (5:00 / km)
