Day 4
Uh oh, trying a bit too hard today but not really navigating carefully. 3 (!!) big mistakes and a couple of small ones. Oops..

Running 3:30:00 [2] 23.6 km (8:54 / km) +1430m 6:50 / km

Back along the mountain ridge with Ben, Coombs and Chloe. A good adventure, though it did get a bit serious when a thunderstorm was coming and we had to bail down a dry river bed. Although longer than any run I’ve done before, mostly easy running and some walking up the steeper climbs.
Maybe out for 4 hours with stops and an extra 800m descent (started 1300m, finished 500m above sea level). Good fun :)

Day 3
Such a cool area! Half plateau with gentle depression then down below a line of crags was a tricky slope with huge boulders. Smooth til 9 where I missed the first set of boulders and overshot. Also lost my legs and head a bit after climbing back up those massive crags for the last bit.

Slightly more aggressive but also made 2 decent mistakes, one in circle #3 and on #14 losing contact on first half of leg then relocating on a different double depression

Not a bad run (compared to what I was expecting from last year) and quite cautious. Average pace way slower than the effort felt. Steep, rocky and at altitude but still somehow slower than I can understand!

Under heel blister felt a lot better since Wednesday but could feel it again on today’s run - pampering/a good bathing perhaps not so good for it. Hopefully will be okay again soon. Next up, oocup!
