Summer is over and so is the Coast Mountain Trail Running Summer Scavenger Hunt. After completing 35 challenges over 3 months, there was a final surprise challenge based on the time of our longest run/hike of the event. Unfortunately, mine was *really* long - the La Cloche Silhouette trail.

So I had to squeeze in an unexpected 5-hour outing on the last day of the event - Bruce Trail, quiet gravel roads (+ one nasty, busy road) and some bushwhacking around Kolapore and Duncan Escarpment Provincial Park. I didn't have time for that this week but it was beautiful and well worth the lost sleep.

Thanks to Coast Mountain Trail Running for their clever twist on virtual racing. Over the past 3 months, they inspired 2,200 runners from around the world to get outside, have fun, be creative, stay active, and share our stories with one another in a year when we were missing our races and our community. Well done.

Coach LD wanted some students aged 55+ for her final video exam to obtain her seniors fitness instructor certification. Alas, I fit the bill. A group of us met in Edelweiss Park in Bolton where we kept our distance while doing cardio and strength. Our ages ranged from 58 to 83. The oldest students wore face shields. It was a warm evening - nice to work out in the park and lots of fun!
