Cruelly, my tired body refused to sleep last night because of the coffee I had to drink to stay alert while I drove yesterday. I am soooo tired.

Busy, busy day checking in all the teams at Untamed New England and getting the trackers ready for prime time. That is always stressful until we get all the teams tracking. I'll be at Race HQ at 5:30 a.m. to keep an eye on that, which will probably involve a few panicked emails to Yellowbrick HQ in he U.K.

I'm the only volunteer left in Durham, NH tonight. Everyone else is at Sunday River Ski Resort in Maine with the racers. That meant I was able to take a couple of hours off for a lobster roll dinner and some wading in the Atlantic. :)



I'll spend much of the rest of the week inside a windowless conference room staring at screens so I'm glad I got out!

The plan was to get a really good sleep last night while 'Bent was away at RockstAR because tonight will be a short night before my long drive to Untamed New England.

However, the security alarm went off about 90 minutes after I fell asleep. "It's the bedroom hallway," said the alarm company ominously, bringing to mind every horror movie I've ever seen. I'm hoping it was a mouse because there has still been no sign of a human intruder. But I didn't know that last night so it was a lousy sleep.

Two Hockley Provincial Park Loops, one in each direction. It felt easy until the day warmed up - and then it didn't! I only did the Tom East Side Trail on one of my four trips through that section since the main Bruce Trail is the same distance with more elevation. Lots of podcasts got me through the run.

The Fat Dog 70 miler is three weeks from today - kinda scary.
