Orienteering race 1:09:03 [4] 9.19 km (7:31 / km)

S6D day 6. Solid run, fairly clean except on the long leg 3 where I didn't follow my compass well enough and ended up in the wrong open patch and it took me way too long to work out where I was. Dad distracted me. 12th. Shame I couldn't have had a decent run in the first 3 days... 24, 75, 24, 6, 11, 12.

Orienteering race 1:17:15 [3] 10.25 km (7:32 / km)

S6D day 5. The BEAUTIFUL Glen Afric. Solid run. A few mistakes, mainly on 5 where I got stuck in some crap instead of finding the white strip. Reckon I lost 1.30. A few ~30 sec mistakes thrown in so maybe 4 mins lost total but I won't bore you with each one. Relatively early start so it definitely sped up later on meaning I finished 11th. Still good compared to the first 3 days.

Orienteering race 47:28 [4] 7.95 km (5:58 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212s

S6D day 4. Turns out I can orienteer well once in a blue moon. Basically a clean race, lost 15 secs on 1 by running to the spur with a control on that was right next to mine. Basically clean for the rest with a few minor misses so probably a minute in total. 6th, 29 secs down on will in 2nd which is slightly irritating but whatever. I'm not getting a good overall position now anyway. I think that bit of Darnaway may be one of my favourite areas in GB I think, so nice.

Orienteering race 40:12 [4] 6.0 km (6:42 / km)

S6D day 3. Went to #1 then #10 while attempting to get to #9. Says it all really.

Orienteering race 24:00 [3] 2.51 km (9:34 / km)

S6D day 2. Shite area. Ended up starting over an hour after I was meant to due to the queue into the car park and so didn't think about eating at all. As a result of that, the amount of orienteering recently and the fact I wasn't navigating at all just following elephant tracks I gave up. Literally I made 2 mistakes in the 7 controls because I chose the wrong elephant track. Pointless continuing as it wasn't fun and I wasn't going to get a decent time due to my slow pace. 2 days done, 2 days I want to drop. Gr8 1 m9.

P.s. won the run in by 2 seconds, #buzzin

Orienteering race 1:10:11 [4] 10.48 km (6:42 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212s

S6D day 1. Ok run just a bit slow probably. Swear the map was wrong at 7 as well, mapped as a reentrant in the open and when i found it it was surrounded by trees in the most pathetic reentrant known to man. Miles behind anyway

Orienteering 42:22 [4] 5.76 km (7:21 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212s

Lagganlia tour champs in Inshriach. Pre ran the boys course which was 5.2 straight line. 5 I lost 2.30 after stopping too short and being a bit stupid not realising I hadn't crossed a ridge yet. It was enough for Phil to catch me 2 minutes and so ran the rest hard trying to get away. Missed 10 by poor compass out of 9 and ended up on a path running 90° in the wrong direction. Took a moment to realise and correct. Maybe a minute lost. Recaught Phil on the long leg but couldn't get away so he beat me by 1.30. Great fun all the same and ankle was fineish.

Orienteering 20:00 [3] 4.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212s

Fun relays around lagganlia. Smashed it. Thankfully I went to lagganlia last year so I didn't have to dress up and just got to watch the others instead :D
