Much better today. Lost a bit of time on a few routes namely the long number 2. Picked a good route but lost 2 minutes on micro routes to Tim. Round left was much better on 5. Still, best run on the week, about 10 mins down on Simon Hector.

Lol. Started okay on the epic 24 min leg to #2. Nightmare on #4. Got stuck in a ravine thing filled with brambles and young trees and 50m cliffs either side and feared I wouldn't make it out after bashing through it a bit. Knew my race was already over having lost 10 minutes in it probably. Kind of died a little bit but also lost motivation to move. Lost time to #7 mainly through not trying. Not a good run at all, 40 minutes behind Hakon... Probably could have been 10 behind had I had a good run and tried whole way.

Did some shadowing around the area next to the Fredrikstad club hut. Was good fun. Followed by marsh football which was the greatest thing ever. Had so much fun and consumed far too much filthy marsh water.

Forgot my inov8s so borrowed some Icebugs from the shop as a trial thingy. They were a bit big but alright apart from that. My average kind of run recently, okay in parts put made mistakes still. Different kind of mistakes today as it was so much easier but took bad lines out of controls and some dodgy routes as a result of.

Ran on the WOC long model area picking up a few of the controls having bagged some maps off the GB team. Set off with Will, Tim and Ali but think Will and Tim got a little carried away and started racing so hung back and did my own thing at a gentler pace and Was okay. Missed a couple slightly to the left but realised quickly.

A very nice run with Tim, Ali and Will from the summerhouse. Went up on this beaut open rock hill that went on for quite a distance. Took a few photos of us in our str8 gear... Will has since lost them... Might have to go back...

Can't orienteering well over a whole course for some reason.. Bits were really good and then 2 or 3 legs were awful. Overshot 2, really bad line to 6 and then awful to 11 which wasn't even a hard leg. It was similar to Akselos in that bit and I was fine yesterday and if anything this was easier so I don't know what I was thinking. Lost 5 minutes on this.

Middle distance training in Akselos. Such a nice forest, so runnable and technical all at once it was amazing. Orienteered well as well for once, probably helped by slowing down and taking a little bit easier.

Middle distance. Again not great. Lost a solid 3 or 4 minutes in the first 5 controls and then sorted myself out to finish okay.

Forest sprint. I was hopeless. Couldn't get into the map and overshot pretty much everything. Wasn't really aware it was forest sprint until I got there so maybe wasn't in the mind frame for it but ah well. Good day spectating anyway, really exciting at the end with Kris.
