Orienteering race 1:05:38 [4] 5.8 km (11:19 / km)
Pickering forest interland selection. One of the worst runs of my life. It's was a good job I had riggy behind me. Messed up 1,2 and 3. Was with niall at 3 after he caught me up 1 non but he found the control without me noticing. Will then caught me still at 3. He lead me straight into it. Dont think I looked at my map for the rest of the course. We caught Niall at about 9 making 3 of us. Knew I was last out of the three but Niall is welsh so i didn't have to beat him and knew I couldnt leave will by 4 mins so had to stick to him. Lost bout 2 mins at 13 I think but I just followed them in not looking at all. Was feeling really tired here so almost glad for the rest :/ they were leaving me abit until a leg across a load of bracken where I found a better path through and caught back up. Cut my knee up pretty bad coming out of the assembly field. Some bad karma going on here as Id just laughed at will for falling over then I did :/ saw Ali Thornton and thought hed caught us up too but turns out he'd had a rubbish run and we'd caught him. Finished 4th behind Joe, will and Niall but 3rd english not counting Niall her as for interland selection. Not proud of my run and going to need to improve on the other selections. Can see myself getting reserve with will, Joe and dane going :/
