Jog out to the start of the EUOC TT.

Running 14:38 [5] 3.7 km (3:57 / km) +114m 3:26 / km

EUOC TT. Fairly pleased. Felt good coming back down the hill towards the end and immediately regretted pushing down it and on the flat as soon as I hit the final climb just after going through the start again. Suffering going up it without any knowledge of how far away the finish was as I'd not run it before. Not registered on Strava. Not happy.

Running 1:00:14 [2] 9.86 km (6:07 / km) +256m 5:24 / km

Very steady round Braids after.

No intervals as Coach Nixon is out of town so hilly run on the seat instead in the dark. Crags twice and Purko's Arete. No MFD sadly :'(

'Easing' back into it... Started out intending to go for 40-50 mins. As I ran around exploring I ended up arriving at the Hearts football ground. It was at this point I thought to myself, 'Why don't I run between the two Edinburgh football stadiums? It can't be that far.' How wrong I was. A long while later and having got lost a fair bit in between, I finally arrived at Easter Road, the home of the mighty Hibs, having already run an hour. At one point I managed to get stuck in a graveyard in the dark for about a km as there wasn't an exit at the far end. Anyway finally made it back after double the intended time.

Think I would have felt better under normal circumstances. Not-so-cheeky miles around the castle and Calton Hill with Tim, Will, Sasha and Andre

Running warm up/down 14:00 [2] 2.8 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212s

Up by myself as nature called too late. Feel a little bit better but still no where near good.

Orienteering 15:00 [3] 1.5 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212s

Blackford. Got to 3 before I slid down a 10 metre cliff uncontrollably, savaging my hand and getting me cold, muddy and wet as it ended in a river. Gave up and walked back thinking I'd be ripe for a lot of abuse. Turns out I wasn't the only one to quit as the course just got worse from 3 on. Don't think I'll be coming back too soon.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2] 2.5 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212s

Back with Andy.
