Running warm up/down 2:39 [2] 0.51 km (5:12 / km)
shoes: VJ Supra's

Slight improvement on the warm up. Due to rumours of a delayed start that turned out to be false didn't have much time once I'd arrived at the start.

Orienteering race 1:14:57 [3] 10.25 km (7:19 / km)
shoes: VJ Supra's

JEC long. Again a solid enough run but couldn't get the intensity up thanks to the lingering cold. Resulted in me arriving at the finish not all that tired. Got stuck in a whole load of wind blown to #4 that didn't seem to be mapped. Went straight to #6 which was bad thanks to all the fallen trees. Actually reasonable after that with routes and execution of them. Could have gone round on #12 but didn't and came out the bog pretty dead. Pleased to beat a fair amount of the British team but it was a little random depending on state of illness and whether you were first out or not. Sub 70 in reasonable health wouldn't have been too hard an ask I don't think.

Running warm up/down 1:26 [2] 0.26 km (5:31 / km)
shoes: VJ Supra's

The most pathetic warm up ever done.

Orienteering race 38:14 [4] 6.67 km (5:44 / km)
shoes: VJ Supra's

JEC relay spectator race. Actually so fun mass starting with so many people. Executed the banter start perfectly and was first out the field and first to my gaffle at #1. Was put in back in my place on the way to #2 as everyone came back past me. An okay race. Running speed was never there due to struggling to breathe at a high intensity, cold clearly not fully gone. Absolutely died at the finish, couldn't get any air in.

Cycling 2:59:47 [1]

Edinburgh to Stirling uni. This was a long old way. Never cycled anywhere near this far before and my legs certainly felt it. Back of them cramping up rather badly, making walking rather painful...

68.2km, AVG kPh - 22.8

Running warm up/down 5:51 [2] 1.27 km (4:36 / km)
shoes: Asics trainers

Agony.

Orienteering race 16:48 [4] 3.59 km (4:41 / km)
shoes: Asics trainers

JEC sprint. Felt so awful the whole way round as could be expected, thanks Rona... didn't really have my head in the navigation either to be fair. Couldn't get used to the scale in the forest at all and just never got ahead of myself like I normally would in a sprint. Picked the worst route on the long leg as well. Oh yeah and I punched the wrong 3. Easily done on that scale.

Big shoutout to the Carcas' for a lift back, managed to fit my bike in the little car and everything, so much better than a train.

(sick)

Been ill since Thursday really. Can't remember the last time I was ill, been a while! Anyway, going for the resting until it's gone strategy instead of the running hard intervals approach.
