Backbone with Winston - Tried to get out early to avoid the heat but i had hard time getting out of the house. The temps rose quickly and I think they rose about 10deg while we were running. I knew that if I was hot, he had to be sweltering. We had multiple water breaks and took it slow. We cut it short to stay on the safe side

2.5hrs on the back paths around Boyd Lake. This one was tough - i started late on a hot day. I was already looking at my watch 30min in hoping to be done soon. I hydrated and fueled well, but totally failed on the chafing side - OUCH!

1hr effort up and easy down. Almost fell on a very angry rattlesnake that took awhile to get around. Almost stepped on another a mile or so later. Sheesh, I really don't like snake season.
Felt great on the climb though :)

Ran from the house down to the rec trail in hopes of having a decent tempo run. It was a bit hot, but the temps had cooled down from the heat of the day. The first 10 min went great although it felt a bit forced, my legs were heavy and just didn’t want to move. On the climb towards the end, I just gave up. It got really hard and I thought if I just took a minute to recoup I could finish it out. Boy was I wrong. I could barely move and ended up walk/running back home.
Some days you have it, some days you don’t. Today I def didn’t. At least I got 18 min of the 25 in
