Running 40:00 [2]
shoes: Altra Lone Peak 3.5 red

Cool morning, and I thought I’d try BZdog with his e-collar and longline.
He got all excited when he saw the collar, and was flawless, passing the squirrel and turkey test with no intervention but my telling him to sit.

Note

Finally got my ear cleared- instant relief of 3 days of pain.

Cycling 2:00:00 [3]

Nice tour of Albion. No mud, no dust, no bugs, no other riders.

Cycling 45:00 [2]

Easy spin with the dogs while it’s cool in the morning.

Glad I wasn’t flying today with my ear ache.

Note

Bah, Fat Dog was just cancelled.
Staycation time.

Running 34:00 [2]
shoes: Altra Lone Peak 3.5 red

Short run with BZdog to test out the Runmeter app as my Garmin is in the shop.

Turns out I can wait now the race is off due to fires.

Note

Left ear really painful most of the day.

Paddlng 1:30:00 [2]

Paddled out. It was a fun trip, with lots of relaxing down time.

Note

Camped on Spider Lake. Lots more swimming, and AD joined us to swim across the channel and watch the kids cannonball off the rocks.
Visited by 2 snapping turtles too.
Hot day again, perfect for camping by a clear lake. Predicted storm missed us.

Ear was annoying but not too painful today.

Paddlng 2:00:00 [2]

Broke camp and headed to Spider Lake. Completely different feel from Gooseneck Bay. We had one longer portage which tested my splinted yoke- it hurt but worked.

Set up camp perched high on rocks. Hot hot day, lots of swimming.
AD swam with us, but he really had a tough night panting in the heat.

Paddlng 1:10:00 [3]

Short hard paddle with kayak blades while we camp in Gooseneck Bay.
Also a loop with Bash. Hot day, so lots of swimming. Lots of coffee, lots of reading, kids having a blast on a big open rocky site.

The Lucente boys are all highly amphibious, with aquaman Mick doing epic swims of 4-5km daily!

I had to watch the swimming- trying not to get water in my left ear as I’m on antibiotics for it- again.
