12 PM

XC Skiing 1:34:10 [3] 18.58 km (11.8 kph) +356m

Highlands. Full-on winter. My wax was a bit light on grip, but lots of glide.
Skied everything and a bit of repeat.

XC ski-Skate 51:32 [3] 11.1 km (12.9 kph) +189m

Ski-nic caves. So great to be back on snow.
Skied the main trails, and it felt easy and smooth, despite old worn out glidewax. Skate used to always feel like a sprint, and a long term goal has been to get it sustainable and comfy. Now if I could achieve this swimming!

XC Skiing 35:42 [3] 6.07 km (10.2 kph) +106m

Got back early, so switched to classic and skied the remaining trails. Ahhh.

Thursday Jan 30 #

Running 56:00 [3]
shoes: La Sportiva Blizzard

Bit easier running as the crust is harder, and the trail a bit less lumpy. AD’s still favouring his right shoulder.

Wednesday Jan 29 #

Running 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: La Sportiva Blizzard

Lumpy run in with the big boy after a morning of appts. Legs were tired from yesterday's grind.
Chilly lumpy run home.

Cycling 1:08:00 [4]

Ugh, tough one with AD. Even with a new 3" front tire, biking the refrozen breakable crust was like riding deep muck in AR. The first km was a combo of hike-a-bike and grinding hard in the granny gear on the flats.
Once I hit the more tracked trails it was a lot more rideable, but the last 1/2k was a grunt.
Tough grind home too, with more hike-a-bike in impossible bits.

Monday Jan 27 #

Running 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: La Sportiva Blizzard

Lumpy commute with Bazingadog on breakable crust.

Sunday Jan 26 #

Running 50:00 [3]
shoes: La Sportiva Blizzard

Run with the dogs. Soft and a bit slushy- not sure it’s skiable.
