Hiking 26:21 [3] 2.31 km (11:24 / km) +111m 9:12 / km
shoes: Icebugs

Walk up to observatory using northern most route.

Jogging 19:53 [3] 2.29 km (8:41 / km)
shoes: Icebugs

Downhill (mostly) jog back from EW observatory to parking lot. Sustainable pace. Comparing with the walk up the same track, it gives lesson that the advantage of jogging can be easily trashed by getting lost and having to relocate. At my level, it would be best to stay in contact with the map, maintain sure footing in questionable terrain, and be wise on route choice. Running should be reserved for clear track, level or downhill opportunities, and good sighting of unambiguous features.
