So I need to loose weight - I've always done lots of aerobic activity and never been at a good race weight. I'm generally between 77-80kgs.

Using Franks calculations my ideal race weight is around the 72kg mark.

I'm going to be conservative at first and see how a weight of under 75kg feels.

The first step to achieving this goal is to reduce weekly beer consumption.

Long run around Derwent with the lads.

Legs were feeling ok this morning and not too achey after yesterdays race. Over the last few weeks I have been doing reasonable mileage again but not sustained long runs so was a bit unsure on how I would feel from 10 onwards today.

It was a truly spectacular day, and great to be able to run the whole loop with the lads. After about 12 miles my legs started to tire - this is why I now need to start doing weekly 13+ mile runs.
