A lot of the commuting this week has been a drag. A case of commuting and getting some slow,tired miles in and yesterday morning I was really bloody tired.

Today however was fantastic. The number 52 was never going to turn up so I donned the Yaktrax and headed in along the canal. It was one of those feel good runs, one of those runs where you can't stop smiling and are enjoying every step. My legs were not as tired and I feel last weeks race is finally leaving my legs.

A lovely morning, the trail was icy in parts which made things difficult, but on the whole a very enjoyable run. Glad I've discovered Hassop Station and it's cafe.

After my first ever 80 mile week, I treated to an afternoon of walking with Dom and her friends.

Track Session at Woodbourne Road. I made it just in time from work and subsequently had no time to warm up. The lack of warm up, coming straight off the bike and the cold all led to quadriceps cramping up on the reps, I pulled out of the third and on the fifth I had to just stop and did some jogging. A real shame as I felt great and was going well with Nick Barber (ba-ba) and Dave Sprotty. In hindsight it could also be from the flat out sprints on Monday, something I have not done for a while.

The session was 1km reps with 200m jogging.

Easy run into work with quite a big bag, feeling good though. Leg's fresh and right hamstring not any tighter than is normal. Back to work - seven days on the bounce - boo!

I miraculously got off on time! If this repeats itself tomorrow I will be down at the track.

Session on the muddy path between Greasby and Arrowe Park. It is slightly uphill on the way out and slightly downhill on the way back. First time I've ran at a reasonable pace for a while. Felt quote good but this is probably because the pace was not too fast even though it felt so.
